The Good news, and the Bad news -
by zajako on 11-20-2009Well I like to start out with the Bad news, to get it over with....
Earning AA via the forums has been disabled. Meaning you can no longer earn any ancient adena via posting on the forums. Only by voting or getting lucky when using gift coins. This is due to the constant spam that has been degrading the forums. Your BS excuse of I need CDK is what brought this down on everyone. It doesn't take but 30 seconds to reply to a post with something intelligent that contributes to the thread or forum. Anyone who claims they didn't know any better is a liar. I am one person. I have to be the one to work on the site, work on the server, monitor the server, add events, assist players, and somehow still have time to check on the forums, and ensure it doesn't have people cheating. However due to the amount of work I've been doing on the server recently, I have not had time to police the forums. When I finally get a second to do this, what do I find? More spam than actual posts. Cleaning up these forums, deleting posts, penalizing users for posting them, all of this crap takes away time from working on the server. I want to make our server the best there is, however if I'm stuck baby sitting the forums the whole time, new content will be few and far between. I'm not okay with that. If you have a problem with it, tough.
My only regret in this decision is that it is punishing those who only made posts that contributed to the server. I feel though that this is the best option though, as it will allow me to focus on new content, and less on babysitting a bunch of spammers.
I have yet to decide on when I'll enable this feature again. However, it will greatly speed up the process if the spammers go through and delete their own spam.
Now the good news!I'm running a double gift coin event this weekend. Starting Friday, November 20th, until Monday Evening November 23rd, all donations will receive twice the number of gift coins. We greatly appreciate those who want to help contribute to the server, to ensure the growth and expansion of content, this is our efforts to show it.
Have fun and good luck,
Lineage 1.5 Team

WTF more arena updates? -
by zajako on 11-17-2009More PvP arena updates
Arena now keeps a score value, which will be used to rank you on the site and the future rankings board.
You can now see the score and messages for the arena while you are watching the match.
Minimum level to participate in the match is now 52
When you die in a match, you are set to watch mode for 10 seconds, where you can watch the match while you wait to respawn.
Gates are now always closed, utilizing teleports to keep you inside the match.
Your health is refilled right before you spawn, to prevent the bug of being continually hit after dead from causing disadvantages.
Teleport bug is fixed
Upon winning or losing the match, you receive FunLand Tickets. The amount of tickets you earn is based on many things. Explained below.
NPC added to allow you to purchase Doll parts, PvP bags, and Dolls with your Tickets earned from the Pvp Matches.
Ticket Earnings Explained
You earn 5 tickets for every player you kill in the arena
You earn 1 ticket every time you are killed in the arena
You earn 10 tickets for winning the match
You earn 5 tickets if your team has less than the losing team and you still win (Handicap bonus)
You lose 5 tickets if your team has more than the losing team and you win (Penalty for unfair match)
If you win, the most amount of tickets you can receive in one match is 50 tickets.
If you lose, the most amount of tickets you can receive in one match is 20 tickets.
Other Changes
Sonic Rage (Knight Skill) damage has been reduced.
Wind Blade (Dark Elf Skill) damage is now based on Str and Dex
Triol's Bowman now has a different sprite, so you no longer have to hold control to hit it.
Arena REVAMPED! Tweaks! YEAH!!! -
by zajako on 11-15-2009Changes to the Arena
Teams have been changed to Red Team and Blue Team
Red team has a red trail that follows their members to tell them apart
Blue Team has a blue trail that follows their members to tell them apart
Gates now go down during the match, allowing you to run out to pvp and to prevent gate camping
If the match hasn't started and each team has at least one other member (other than yourself) you can now leave the match
If you are bugged due to a disconnect you are no longer trapped in the arena, you can talk to the npc to get out
You can now pick which team you want to be on when entering the arena (you can still let it pick for you)
You can change your team before the match starts if your team has at least one other member
You can watch the match without participating
You can no longer hurt your own team members with magic or attacks (however debuffs and cancel still do work on your own team)
Parties are ended at the end of the match automatically
The match timer doesn't begin until there is at least one person on EACH team (meaning you can get 5 people in on one team, and the timer wont start until one person joins the other team)
Other ChangesPegan's Temple mobs changed to have less regen
The new quest books are all now tradeable/sellable
The new Knight skill "Sonic Rage" now uses Str and Dex instead of Int and Sp for damage calculations.
When poisoned you now have a poison cloud trail you
The new boss was tweaked as well
Pagan's Temple! New Spells! Old GM BUFFS! -
by zajako on 11-15-2009Pagan's TempleNew zone added, pagan's temple. You can get there by talking to an npc in the bottom left hand corner of the Island of Prayer. There is a guy who will sneak you and your party in. However, you need to be in a party to get there. The party leader just talks to the npc, and it teleports your whole group in.
Once there you can hunt and get Pagan's Marks. These marks can be used with the new rare books to learn new skills/spells for your class.
There is also a new boss there, named Andrea Van Halter.
A hidden npc to learn the new skills is found somewhere hiding too! Will you be able to find him?
